Deepening the relationship between scientists and journalists: overcoming the barriers journalists face in reaching scientists’

English Track

Desciption

Our main objective is to unpack the reasons it is difficult for journalists to reach scientists and why the relationship between the two is crucial. We would have a panel discussion with three science editors and journalists and 2 scientists. We would also have a breakout session/small group discussions where participants can identify the factors hindering the relationship between scientists and journalists and come up with solutions.
