No, live language interpretation will not be available for this edition. However, you can customize your agenda by adding sessions and workshops in your preferred language to your calendar.
Are all the forum sessions recorded?
Yes, all sessions at the Science Journalism Forum are recorded and exclusively made available to attendees after the event concludes. You will receive an email notification when the recordings are uploaded to the website.
How do I register for a workshop?
Most workshops can be registered for by simply adding them to your agenda. However, some workshops may require separate registration as they have limited seats. You can find registration details in the workshop description on the agenda, and we will also send an announcement with this information.
When will I receive instructions for using Whova?
Within a few days of purchasing a ticket maximum, you will receive an email at the address used for forum registration. This email will contain detailed instructions on how to use Whova for a smooth attendance experience.
What is the ticket cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel your registration, please use the link in your confirmation email or email info@scicommx.com with "Cancellation" in the subject line. If the cancellation request is received before the forum begins, you will receive a full refund. However, no refunds can be made once the forum event starts on October 28, 2024. Please note that non-attendance does not constitute a cancellation, and purchasing a ticket grants you access to the recordings of all forum sessions, including past sessions. However, we encourage you to attend the event in real-time to maximize the benefits of networking and interacting with peers and experts.
How do I access Whova? Do I have to download an app?
You can access the Whova platform through your web browser without the need to download any app. For the best video-streaming experience, we recommend using Google Chrome, though other browsers should work fine too. Additionally, you can use Whova's free mobile app, available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, which offers extra social features for easier interaction with other attendees. All SJF24 activities are accessible from both platforms.
Can I share my forum login information with others?
No, each individual has their own personalized registration and login information, which cannot be shared. Whova provides a customized attendance experience for each attendee. Please note that only one device (computer, laptop, or phone) can access the virtual forum using the same login information.
What if I miss a session/workshop?
All SJF24 sessions are recorded, allowing you to access and view any missed content for up to one year after the forum.
