The Covid19 pandemic has put science journalism on center stage, emphasizing the vital importance of what we do. But it’s also put science journalists to the test, as we work to cover an ever-evolving virus, changing scientific knowledge and public health mandates, and seek to counter misinformation on everything from vaccines to risky behaviors. This talk will look at 12 lessons from the pandemic – what we’ve gotten right, wrong, and what we need to know ahead of the next pandemic.
