In 2022, ARIJ was announced a winner of the Google News Initiative Innovation Challenge for working on an AI strategy for small and medium-sized newsrooms in Arabic. In July 2023, the strategy was soft-launched and made available for all newsrooms and journalists.

In this session, we will guide you through the strategy, explore the potential of using it in your newsroom, and help you understand the potential of developing an action plan for using AI in the production and distribution of news.
