Will delve into the model and impact of various geojournalism models in South America, Africa and Asia, which are all using interactive maps to shed light on cross-border environmental threats. The session will explore how InfoAmazonia is using maps and satellite imagery to uncover threats to the Amazon Rainforest and River, the journalist and scientist network of InfoNile in the Nile River Basin, the Rainforest Investigations Network series of investigations using geo-tools to expose the impacts of logging in the Congo Rainforest, and the Ekuatorial geojournalism platform in the Mekong River Delta, Indonesia.
