About Aditi Tandon

Aditi is the Production Editor at Mongabay India, an environment and conservation news portal. She is also a fact-checking trainer with the Google News Initiative India Training Network. Aditi has contributed to developing a climate verification training module for combatting climate change misinformation in Indian newsrooms.

Aditi started her career as a journalist with the Times of India, a leading English daily. She worked with Amnesty International, UNDP and U.S. Consulate in Mumbai, India, before returning to journalism at Mongabay India.

Aditi studied psychology and journalism, after which she received the Erasmus Mundus scholarship to pursue an M.A. in European studies in Germany and the Czech Republic. Aditi has been a fellow of the Columbia University and Google News Initiative Newsroom Leadership Program in 2022.
