About Dalia ElAkkad

I am a science senior journalist with 17+ years of experience. I was ahead of the education and science section at Al-Shorouk Newspaper for four years. I worked in the investigative and news departments. Also, I am a filmmaker. I have two short films that were selected in international festivals. One of them was honorable mention by Cinema Verde Film Festival. I hold a master’s degree of Arts in Television and Digital Journalism- School of Global Affairs and Public Policy at The American University in Cairo, 2021. I am a teaching assistant for The Digital Media Diploma (DMD) at AUC (part-time).

I graduated from the Faculty of Mass Communication- Cairo University 2004. I am a member of the Egyptian Press Syndicate and a member of the Arab Science Journalists Association (ASJA).
