About Emma Weitkamp

My research focuses on the actors involved in communicating science to the public, including researchers, journalists and other related science communication professionals. Recent projects have focused on understanding the needs of science journalists and science communicators in relation to delivery high quality science communication with a view to developing training and teaching that is highly industry relevant and connected.

As part of this work, I have been exploring the role of artificial intelligence and the hopes and fears science journalists and science communicators have for these technologies.
