About Eva Emerson

Eva Emerson is Editor in Chief of Knowable Magazine from Annual Reviews, an independent digital science magazine she cofounded in 2017. A graduate of the UC Santa Cruz science writing program, she job hopped for many years, with stops at The Magic School Bus TV show, the California Science Center, USC and Science News Magazine. Knowable is looking for fresh, smart, deeply reported, well-written and context-filled takes on basic and applied sciences for a sophisticated but broad science-interested audience. In addition to shorts and features, we publish Q&As, comics, videos and essays. New writers are advised to pitch shorts and Q&As.
