About Francisco Diez Canseco

Mr. Francisco Diez-Canseco is a psychologist with Public Health training and an Associate Investigator at the CRONICAS Center of Excellence in Chronic Diseases, in Lima, Peru. Mr. Diez-Canseco has a 20-year experience leading complex interventions, large-scale surveys and in-depth qualitative studies in low-income settings. His research focuses on noncommunicable diseases and mental health. Mr. Diez-Canseco was Co-I of the Latin LATIN-MH project, a 5-year study to evaluate the effectiveness of CONEMO, a psycho-educational intervention delivered via smartphones for reducing depressive symptoms among individuals with diabetes and/or hypertension in Lima and Sao Paulo.
