About Gema Revuelta
She is Vicepresident of the Spanish Association of Science Communication (AEC2), Communication and Society at at Pompeu Fabra University/Directora del Centro de Estudios de Ciencia, Comunicación y Sociedad de la Universidad Pompeu Fabra and associated professor in the Department of Medicine and Life Sciences at Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) in Barcelona. There, she also directs the Science, Communication and Society Studies Center and the Master’s in Scientific, Medical and Environmental Communication (UPF-Barcelona School of Management).
She was also Director of Scientific Culture at the Barcelona City Council and collaborated as free-lance journalist with a number of mass media (La Vanguardia, El Periódico, BTV etc). She has a degree in Medicine, a Master’s in Scientific Communication and a PhD, with a thesis on the public communication of health.
