About Graca Caldas

Journalist and Researcher at the Laboratory for Advanced Studies in Journalism (Labjor/IEL/Unicamp), where she is the Coordinator of the Communication, Education, Science and Society Research Group. PhD in Communication Sciences at ECA/USP and post-doctoral internship in Science Policy at DPCT/IG/Unicamp. She is part of the Editorial Board of SBPC’s Jornal da Ciência. She was academic director of the Brazilian Association of Scientific Journalism (ABJC) for three terms. She has worked in different media (Diário de Notícias, Revista Pais e Filhos, TV Globo, Jornal do Brasil, Folha de S. Paulo). She was a professor of Journalism at PUC-Campinas and PUC-SP. She participated in the Graduate Program in Communication at UMESP for 14 years, where she directed the Faculty of Journalism and Public Relations and coordinated the Journalism Course. Several articles published in journalism and DC. She supervised 40 dissertations and 13 doctoral theses. She is a CNPq Productivity Fellow level 2. She is the organizer and editor of the book “Vozes e Silenciamentos em Mariana”, published in Portuguese.
