About Kelvin Santos de Souza

Head of the Communication and Institutional Memory Section at the Evandro Chagas Institute (IEC/SVSA/MS). Communication Analyst, Journalist, and Science Communicator at IEC. Master’s in Communication, Culture, and the Amazon (PPGCom/UFPA). Post-graduate in Scientific Communication in the Amazon from the XXVII International Program for Specialist Training in Amazonian Areas (FIPAM) at the Center for Advanced Amazonian Studies (NAEA/UFPA). Bachelor’s degree in Social Communication – Journalism from the Federal University of Pará (2003).

I am a Research and Biomedical Information Management Analyst at the Evandro Chagas Institute, working in the organization’s communication area with a focus on scientific journalism and science communication since June 2013. Specialist in Marketing from the Pará University Center. From 2009 to 2011, I worked in the Communication Advisory of IBGE in Pará for the dissemination of the 2010 Census and other surveys in the northern states of Brazil. From 2011 to 2013, I was a text editor for news programs at Rede Record Belém and substitute chief editor.

During the same period, I worked at TV Cultura do Pará as a producer for the program “Sem Censura” and later as the director of “Curta Cultura,” where I also served as a reporter, producer, and editor. During this time, I also created the interprogram “Papo de Camarim,” acting as director and editor.
