Lamiaa Nail is a Co-founder and Head of Content at the Arab Science Week (ASW). Lamiaa is currently holding the position of Learning Design and Development Manager at Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship (GIE) Company. Formerly, Lamiaa was a Co-founder and School Program Manager at the Egyptian Science Week (ESW). ESW was a national initiative that aimed at increasing the public interest of science, technology, and innovation. The event is held in March of every year, with different activities all around Egypt.
Additionally, Lamiaa held the position of Science Communication Specialist at the Department of Physics at the American University in Cairo (AUC). Prior to working at AUC, Lamiaa has been the Education Team Leader of Tahrir Academy (www.tahriracademy.org), an online learning platform that creates mind-stimulating learning experiences for more than 150,000 learners. Lamiaa has also worked as a Research & Development Engineer in the industry, before shifting into STEM Education & Science Communication.
Lamiaa is an alumna of the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), a program led by the U.S. Department of State, for female leader in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). Lamiaa earned a master’s degree in International and Comparative Education from AUC and a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University.
