About Diogo Lopes de Oliveira

I am currently a lecturer of Social Communications undergraduate course at the Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG), and professor in the Postgraduate Program in Communication at Federal University of Paraíba, both institutions located in Northeastern Brazil. I am the Regional Secretary in Paraiba State in the Brazilian Society for the Advencement of Science.

I was a visiting scholar in the Department of Communication at Cornell University from March 2019 to March 2021. In 2004, I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Communications with specialization in Journalism from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), Brazil. I also hold a Master’s Degree in Scientific, Medical and Environmental Communications from Pompeu Fabra University (2007), the same institution where I obtained a PhD in Public Communications in 2012.
