Should Journalism Be Taught to Students in School?

English Track

Desciption

During the last 3 decades, school curricula has been the same; teaching sciences, math, languages, and a number of other subjects. But things are changing. Social media, self representation, and public speaking are becoming important aspects of our lives as well as our children’ lives. In addition to that, the new generations are developing abilities to question and debate what is around them, and these are also the basics of journalism. When learning about journalism at school, students are exploring self-expression, analyzing messages they receive through different media, and questioning everything happening around them.
